My home management skills are better then what they were when my kids were smaller, but still not what I would like it to be. I started out using many of flylady's ideas. I like the idea of the control journal, but let's face it I'm a digital girl! I do much better with having everything on my phone, computer, tablet etc.
I even took on the job as treasurer for my son's scout troop and I use my phone and computer to manage the checking account and other documents associated with being the treasurer. It's nice, for example, I can pull up the information parents need from my phone while at the troop meeting.
I because I like the idea of using my phone stumbled upon this ebook several years ago. (affiliate link)
I took those ideas from the ebook and have modified them over the years to meet my needs. I today use google docs, google calendar, Evernote, and motivated mom on my phone and computer. And homeschool tracker on my computer. Between those apps and programs, all of my needs are met.
It's great that my home, school and even my son's scout things are being managed on my phone or computer. The only thing I can't do on my phone and computer is homeschool tracker. This is because several years ago, over a decade, I bought their plus edition, that they no longer sell, and that can only be accessed on my computer. If I choose to update to their online edition I would be able to have access to my phone and computer.
Even though I have these great tools in place my latest downfall is not actually using them to their full potential. I don't always check out motivated mom. Sometimes I forget to add things to the calendar. I don't always check the calendar for upcoming events. I don't always do what I should do for the day. It's not because I didn't have time. It's because I just didn't do it.
PROCRASTINATION is my biggest hurdle now. I know I have these great tools in place, but I don't follow through with these things. I don't follow through with a lot of things these days. sigh. Now to get out of this hurdle of procrastination. Any suggestions? How do you overcome procrastination?
